As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1 Peter 4:10)
The little cowboy and his second grade class went as a group to the nursing home last week. As we were going over our happenings of the day he couldn't wait to tell me his story of the lady in the wheel chair. After he belted out the tunes his class sang to the residents of the nursing home he told me more about the little lady who had quite an impact on him.
From the little cowboy's lips to God's ear here is what he told me . . . .
She had gray hair mom and the most joyous smile I have ever seen. Her grin went from ear to ear and her eyes didn't look at anyone else but me. They sparkled mom, and she clapped her hands to the music (and she had rhythm). Several times she gave me a nod and wink & I decided to sing louder because she seemed to like it so much. The last song ended and she held her arms out to me so I ran over to her. I know she was a stranger mom but I think she really needed me today so I gave her a hug and she kissed me on the cheek. Then she whispered to me, you remind me of my boy when he was little. She had tears mom and she reminded me of my Mimi Great (Mimi Great passed). I think God put us together to remind each other of the people we loved. What a gift it is to remember the ones we love.
And then we talked about what we love about each other and our family!
Each day we have is truly a gift! Each day you exercise and improve your health you are adding years to your life!
Congratulations on being 1/3 of the way through the Meltdown!
You are breaking records each & every day ~ I am so proud of you!
Have a blessed day! With love & appreciation ~ Stephanie
